Our house on a tidy sunny day....

Tom at 3

Tom at Three. A very determined little boy. He will eat almost anything and has a big appetite. He loves icecream on Friday nights, hotdogs and pizzas with peas on them.  He sleeps well and loves to watch a sneaky Peppa Pig before his nap. He wakes early and always wants the same breakfast. Cheerios with yoghurt. He loves to play any ball sports. Over and over and over. Baseball, bolleyball, soccer and football. He loves to win. Races, games, getting dressed its all a competition.  He loves to pack snacks for the day, pack bags for holidays. Put things in containers. His best friend is his brother. He loves to wrestle and run and copy Charlie in any way.  He is a demon on his red bike and very good at stopping at roads and making trips to wholefoods.  His favourite colour is purple.  He is nervous of the pool because he doesnt like to be out of his control. He likes to learn things by himself.  His biggest joke is to give people a froggy kiss which is wet and sloppy.  Love you T-Bone.

Things I learnt Camping

I'm not a natural camper, but have discovered that any activity in the beautiful mountains where all my boys are happy is worth pursuing! Here are some things I learn't camping this year:

Me: 'Because you are.....Do you think I am beautiful?'
Tom: Holds my face in hands....screws up face "Mmmm you're a bit wierd......maybe you need earrings to be beautiful"

Mapping

Charlie is really interested in maps, directions etc at the moment. So I found a great hiking whistle with compass and thermometer attached for using on our hikes. You cant see it well but its there..

 I am also collecting any free maps I see to use like a maze. Charlie starts in any city he chooses and has to get back to Denver following the road.

Valentine's Day

I have a bit more of an idea what Valentine's Day is all about now. It should be obvious. Love. But last year I was bamboozled by all the knick knacks from preschool and all the funny names the kids had...Charleston? for a girl? This year I enjoyed the Love a lot more.  I was told "I love you" at least 3 times a day by the boys for the week leading up to it (lets hope that continues for a while.  Charlie informed us the other day that "when to people hug hearts come out of them".

Australia Day

You dont need to do much to celebrate Australia Day.....

Tom On: Growing Big

When I told Tom the other day that he was going to grow and grow and one day he would be bigger than me. He said: " When I'm so big I'm going to carry you and put you in your bed and tell you about the day and sing you   'Speed Bonnie Boat'."  How nice does that sound.

Charlie the Science Kid

Thanks "Sid the Science Kid" for inspiring Charlie in all things science. Now we have a Science Book that we can record things in and it is the perfect way to practice cutting, gluing and writing..
